Default Compaq Support Info

This Compaq Support Info thing keeps popping up, and Google doesn't provide any links to any helpful sites. This also seems to happen only on GW, and for some reason only while PvE. What can I do to stop it?

It's Compaq's built-in crapware. Try looking at this old thread.

I tried to delete the HP Pavilion support information.lnk, but can't find it. Other than that, that thread did not solve my problem.

- Try uninstalling it through start>control panel>software ( if it's there )

- You could also manually try to look up the folder in which it's installed find an uninstall package, or delete the files manually

- Try this: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...=3460074&lang=

Hope that's any help.

try this:
download revo uninstaller (www.revouninstaller.com) and on the bar on top, it has a button called "hunter mode". Click that, and drag-drop the crosshairs on the compaq popup.

That will do a small check to see if there are any uninstall files related to it, and if there are, it will run the uninstaller.
